15:24 EDTSPX, SPYS&P 500 hits highs of session, bulls retake control on Sequester hopes
The index is hitting the highs of the session, heading back for the 1520 area and nearly erasing losses from Monday's tumble in the process. Brighter economic news outside of durable goods and hopes for some form of negotiation between the White House and Congress on the sequester appear to be buoying spirits. At the current level of 1519.11, 1520 and then 1524.24 are next resistance. Support is at 1517.01. Sector leadership remains largely unchanged from earlier in the day. All sectors are green, with the so-called "risk off" sectors of Consumer Staples and Utilities lagging.
