11:50 EDTSPY, SPXS&P 500 falls to lows of the session as mid-day approaches, levels to watch
The index is near session lows at time of writing, last at 1523.51. Sectors are the opposite in many respects of the prior day, with so-called "risk off" sectors outperforming; Utilities, Consumer Staples, and Health Care. The so-called "risk on" sectors are all in the red, with Energy, Materials, and Technology the leaders on the downside. Next support is at 1519.20, the last position of the 10-day moving average. Since this moving average is a stand-in for a hand-drawn uptrend line, price breaking below it would be bearish. Resistance is at 1530.94, the high of the day so far.
