12:02 EDTSPY, SPXS&P 500 rises sharply into mid-day, levels to watch
The index has ticked above its 10-day moving average, last at 1378.48. This was resistance at the start of the day, but is now support. All sectors with the exception of Utilities are in the green. Upside leadership is found in the sectors most down over the last several weeks; Materials, Technology, Financials, Energy, and Consumer Discretionary. Resistance is at 1384.87, and then at 1391.74.
