Spirent Communications and CETECOM announced their collaboration to implement a solution that tests SUPL 2.0 compliance for Verizon Wireless. This test solution is a key enabler for mobile device Location Based Services, or LBS, on LTE networks and will be offered by Spirent, a leader in testing wireless networks, services and devices, in the Q4. By testing SUPL 2.0 compliance for both LTE-only and LTE multi-mode mobile phones, the solution will ensure devices are capable of supporting next-generation location-enabled applications and providing location information during E911 emergency call sessions on LTE networks. CETECOM, an industry-leading laboratory for LTE device certification, will add these tests to their repertoire of test services for LTE devices. | |
