Sonic announced earlier that unseasonably cold temperatures in March and April impacted sales in Q3, with weather estimated to have had a 300-400 basis point adverse impact on same-store sales. Estimated system-wide same-store sales were 0.1% for Q3, which reflected slightly positive same-store sales at franchise drive-ins and a decrease of 1.0% at company drive-ins. "Despite the adverse weather, system-wide same-store sales were positive in April and improved further in May," the company said. | |
