06:22 EDTSNESony's troubles could lead to breakup suggested by Loeb, Bloomberg reports
With it's disappointing earnings, Sony may now be open to considering some of activist investor Daniel Loebís suggestions, reports Bloomberg. Loeb, who heads hedge fund Third Point, wants a major breakup and is selling the PC business and splitting its TV-manufacturing division into a separate unit that may eventually be divested. Last May, Loeb suggested the company sell up to 20% of its entertainment division in an IPO and focus on turning around the electronics business. Reference Link
