theflyonthewall.com: Game firm Perfect World sees 2-D existing with 3-D, IBD reports
For Chinese online game developer and operator Perfect World (PWRD), known for its hugely successful "Legend of Martial Arts," and "Zhu Xian", 2-D entertainment is still viable in an increasingly 3-D world, according to Investor's Business Daily's "The New America". That's because many Chinese don't have 3-D technology. The company began using 2-D last fall and the results have been impressivee, helping its concurrent user count, or the number of users at any one time. Perfect Wolrd is also branching out to increase revenue, including producing films as well as developing more games. But management has said that it's focus is on quality and not quantity.
