Sharp Imaging and Information Company of America, a division of Sharp Electronics (SHCAY), is excited to announce our National Joint Powers Alliance national exclusive contract award for Copiers with Related Imaging Equipment, Solutions, Accessories, Supplies and Services. The contract award includes Sharp's full line of MFPs, AQUOS BOARD Interactive Display Systems, Professional Projectors and Professional Displays. As a result of the award, Sharp will be the sole provider of these products and services to NJPA members through 2016. NJPA is a national municipal contracting agency that facilitates competitive Request For Proposals resulting in national cooperative contract solutions through business and service relationships. NJPA serves government, education and non-profit agencies and is governed by publicly elected officials. | |

Sharp (SHCAY) said that it would sell about $62M of stock to Qualcomm (QCOM) for Y502 per share, Sharp reported today. The share sale is pursuant to a joint development agreement that the company made with Qualcomm (QCOM) on December 4, 2012, Sharp stated.
