Sharp Corp. (SHCAY) and Panasonic (PC) are increasing sales of air purifiers in China as pollution worsens there, reports Bloomberg. Sharp’s sales, built mainly in Shanghai, tripled last month from a year earlier. Panasonic’s production of air purifiers for the Chinese market in January were 50% above average monthly levels.Reference Link

Sharp (SHCAY) said that it would sell about $62M of stock to Qualcomm (QCOM) for Y502 per share, Sharp reported today. The share sale is pursuant to a joint development agreement that the company made with Qualcomm (QCOM) on December 4, 2012, Sharp stated.
