After Jefferies (JEF) reported stronger than expected Q2 results, Wells Fargo believes that the results show that equities capital markets have been weak. As a results, Wells is now more confident that Street estimates for Stifel (SF) are likely too high, and Wells maintains a Market Perform rating on Stifel. Wells prefers Raymond James (RJF) over Stifel, as it believes that Raymond James is less exposed to capital markets. The firm maintains an Outperform rating on Raymond James. |
