18:33 EDTS, T, VZ, TMUSSprint introduces Sprint Family Share Pack data plan, doubles high-speed data
Sprint (S) has introduced new shared data plans that offer double the high-speed data at the same or lower price as compared to AT&T (T), T-Mobile (TMUS) and Verizon Wireless (VZ). Under the new plan, a family with up to 10 lines will receive 20GB of shared data and unlimited talk and text for $100 a month. The new plan will be available starting August 22. As an added bonus, under the new family plan, customers will get an additional 2GB of data per line for up to 10 lines through 2015. Sprint's newly appointed CEO Marcelo Claure said, "We are so certain that this is the best value on wireless today that for any customer who wants to switch to our new Sprint Family Share Pack, we will reimburse them for the cost to end their contract with another carrier.

Pacific Crest does not expect Iliad (ILIAF) to offer enough money to acquire T-Mobile (TMUS). The firm does not think that T-Mobile should accept an offer below $40, and it reports that its checks show increased switching to T-Mobile in the wake of the recent iPhone launch. Pacific Crest believes that T-Mobile's valuation remains compelling, and it keeps an Outperform rating on the shares.

10:01 EDTTGernin Group and AT&T's Otter Media to acquire majority stake in Fullscreen
Otter Media, a venture between The Chernin Group and AT&T, agreed to purchase a majority stake in Fullscreen, a global online media company. As part of the deal, Fullscreen CEO and Founder George Strompolos will continue as CEO and maintain a material ownership stake in the company. Otter Media was established by AT&T and The Chernin Group to invest in, acquire and launch over-the-top video services. Fullscreen's management team will all continue in their roles in the company. The transaction is expected to close within the next month, subject to regulatory approval. WPP, which had invested in Fullscreen in a round of Series A funding led by The Chernin Group in 2013, will continue as a strategic shareholder in the company.
