But with Deutsche Telekom's (DTEGY) announced merger of its U.S. subsidiary, T-Mobile USA, with MetroPCS Communications (PCS), Sprint was outmaneuvered, raising questions about whether it had lost a chance to increase its scale to better compete against AT&T (T) and Verizon Wireless (VZ,VOD), reports the Wall Street Journal.
