05:45 EDTRTNRaytheon invited by Poland to continue WISLA technical dialogues
Poland's Ministry of National Defense announced the start of phase two of a technical dialogue regarding their national medium-range air and missile defense system, named "WISLA". Raytheon is one of five parties shortlisted for the continuing dialogue. According to Poland's announcement, the second stage aims to identify the areas of potential technical and industrial cooperation, the transfer of knowledge, technology, and production, and address the intellectual property rights available as part of the offers from each of the chosen parties.

The U.S. Army and the Javelin Joint Venture, comprising Raytheon (RTN) and Lockheed Martin (LMT), recently conducted successful live-fire Javelin missile engagements against tank targets from different launcher and platform configurations as part of a demonstration to current foreign military sales users. Each of the three Javelin missiles used during the tests at Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, Alabama, was fired from a different launcher or platform from a Command Launch Unit; from a vehicle using a Remote Weapon Station; and from the U.S. Army's recently deployed Containerized Weapon System, also using a RWS. The CLU-launched missile hit a target at 4,000 meters, while the vehicle-launched and CWS-launched missiles hit targets positioned at 1,100 meters and 700 meters, respectively.

Raytheon and Kongsberg have signed an agreement to extend their partnership on the National Advanced Surface-to-Air Missile System.The Raytheon and Kongsberg 10-year collaboration is focused on optimal system performance and capabilities from sensor to effector for NASAMS users around the world, including incorporation of the new AMRAAM-ER missile. Most recently, NASAMS successfully engaged and destroyed four-for-four in an airborne target live fire exercise conducted by the Royal Norwegian Air Force at the Andoya Rocket Range in Northern Norway.
