09:05 EDTRTIRTI International to acquire Dynamet Technology for $15.5M in cash
RTI International Metals has acquired Dynamet Technology, a supplier of near-net shape titanium and titanium alloy preforms and components to commercial aerospace, defense, biomedical and industrial customers. Based in Burlington, Mass., Dynamet Technology will be included in RTI’s Titanium Segment. Purchase terms of the transaction were $15.5M in cash, plus potential future cash consideration. Additional details regarding the transaction were not disclosed.

Snecma and RTI International announced that they have signed a long-term agreement under which RTI will provide titanium aluminide alloy material for the new CFM International LEAP, or Leading Edge Aviation Propulsion, engine. RTI will be a major supplier of Snecma’s TiAl requirements for the production of LEAP engine low-pressure turbine blades, for which mass production is starting from 2016. The company said, "Depending on the ultimate number and timing of aircraft and engine deliveries, RTI anticipates total revenues in excess of $100M."
