Radio One (ROIAK) is investing as much as $40M in an MGM Resorts (MGM) casino project in Maryland, beginning with a $5M payment in the coming months, reports Inside Radio. Shares of Radio One were sharply higher during today's session, gaining $1.04, or 25.62%, to $5.10. Reference Link

Bell Media, part of BCE (BCE), announced from MIPCOM a multi-faceted partnership with United Artists Media Group, a newly formed joint venture among MGM (MGM), Mark Burnett, Roma Downey, and Hearst Entertainment, and Omnicom Canada's (OMC) Highway Entertainment to create new television formats for Canadian and international audiences. As a result of the partnership, pilots for several new formats are currently in development and pre-production at Bell Media, parent company of conventional broadcaster CTV. Terms of the deal were not released.

Citigroup estimates shares of MGM Resorts could rally $11 should the company win a gaming license in Osaka, Japan. Citi expects the gaming bill in Japan to be passed in November, and notes MGM is a major candidate in Osaka. The firm says the Macau slowdown has the least impact on MGM. It lowered its price target for shares to $31 from $32 and keeps a Buy rating on the name.
