Capstone notes that late on Friday, counsel for both Rambus and Hynix submitted a stipulated proposed order regarding pending escrow account for on-going royalties. The firm notes that if approved, Hynix will be required to deposit awarded royalties for U.S. based shipments from Q1 to Q3 of 2009. Capstone estimates Hynix's initial deposit will be $25M and that by year-end 2010, the account will equal $80M, bringing potential total damage awards to Rambus to $480M by the end of next year.
