Rio Tinto to cut 300 jobs at Mongolia copper mine, Reuters reports Rio Tinto plans to cut around 300 jobs at its Oyu Tolgoi copper and gold mine in Mongolia, reports Reuters. According to an Oyo Tolgoi employee who declined to be named, the company sent a memo to its staff that said "Given where we are now in the lifecycle of our project and the urgent need to reduce our costs, it is critical to the success of the business to address this now."
