06:22 EDTREISU.S. office vacancies fall to lowest level in nearly three years, Bloomberg says
Office vacancies in the U.S. declined to their lowest level in about three years as demand from energy and technology companies combined with a lack of construction to overshadow cuts by government employers, according to Reis Inc. (REIS), reports Bloomberg. A total of 17.1% of the country’s office space was empty as of September 30, down from 17.4% a year ago, and 17.2% in Q2. Vacancies were the lowest since the fourth quarter of 2009, when the rate was 17%, Reis said. Reference Link
