Excluding working capital effects, cash flow from operations in 2014 was $32B, compared with $36.3B in 2013. Capital and exploratory expenditures in 2014 were $40.3B compared with $41.9B in the corresponding 2013 period. The amounts included $3.5B in 2014 and $2.7B in 2013 for the company’s share of expenditures by affiliates, which did not require cash outlays by the company. Expenditures for upstream represented 92% of the companywide total in 2014.
