QuickLogic Corporation (QUIK) announced that its smart connectivity Customer Specific Standard Products, or CSSP, Solution has been selected by Kyocera (KYO) for the company's HoneyBee 5 series of Personal HandyPhone, or PHS, phones. The QuickLogic solution was chosen for its ability to support inter-processor communication between the application and PHS baseband processor, as well as the integration of additional discrete logic, resulting in a smaller overall footprint and lower power consumption.

07:09 EDTKYOKyocera files patent infringement lawsuit against Hanwha Q Cells Japan
Kyocera has filed a complaint in Tokyo District Court against Hanwha Q CELLS Japan Co., Ltd., for infringement of a Kyocera patent relating to solar modules. The complaint was filed after extensive negotiations regarding Kyocera’s Japanese patent for a “three-bus-bar electrode structure” that increases energy conversion efficiency in solar modules. Kyocera is negotiating with other parties regarding the patent.
