Partner Communications announced that its fully owned subsidiary, 012 Smile Telecom, was served with a lawsuit and a motion for the recognition of this lawsuit as a class action, filed against 012 Smile on July 13 in the Central District Court. The claim alleges that 012 Smile increased the service tariffs in certain tariff plans for fixed-line telephony services not in accordance with 012 Smile's representations and the terms of the subscriber agreement. If the lawsuit is recognized as a class action the total amount claimed against 012 Smile is estimated by the plaintiff to be approximately NIS 27M. 012 Smile is reviewing and assessing the lawsuit and 012 Smile and Partner are unable, at this preliminary stage, to evaluate, with any degree of certainty, the probability of success of the lawsuit or the range of potential exposure, if any.
11:20 EDTPTNRPartner Communications announces launch of 4G services in Israel
Partner Communications announces the launch of 4G services for the first time in Israel. As of July 15, the company will enable its customers that own handsets which support 4G technology to benefit from advanced services based on this technology in areas in which the 4G network is already deployed, without any additional payment for these services until the completion of additional frequencies allocation by the Ministry of Communications as part of the 4G frequencies tender that was published on July 2, the company said.
