PriceSmart announced that for the month of September 2012 net sales increased 14.1% to $167M, from $146.3M in September a year earlier. There were 29 warehouse clubs in operation at the end of both September 2012 and September 2011. For the four weeks ended Sept. 30, 2012, comparable warehouse sales for the 28 warehouse clubs open at least 13 1/2 full months increased 10.0%, compared to the same four-week period last year. PriceSmart plans to release FY12 financial results on Oct. 30, after the market closes. | |

PriceSmart announced that for the month of April net sales increased 10.7% to $176.1M compared to April a year earlier. For the four-week period ended April 28, comparable sales for the 29 warehouse clubs open at least 13 1/2 full months increased 9.6%, compared to the four-week period last year. PriceSmart also announced that on May 3 the company successfully opened its third warehouse club in Colombia. | |
