News Breaks September 14, 2012 11:22 EDT PNR, TYC Pentair investors approve merger with Tyco Flow Control Pentair (PNR) announced that its shareholders voted to approve the previously announced merger agreement providing for the tax-free, all-stock merger of Pentair and the flow control business of Tyco International (TYC). Based on the results of the special meeting of Pentair shareholders held today, approximately 99% of Pentair's shares of common stock voted at the meeting, which represents approximately 85% of the shares entitled to vote, were voted in favor of the merger agreement. The completion of the merger remains subject to the approval of the spin-off by Tyco shareholders and other customary closing conditions.
