17:26 EDTERJ, PLLPall Corp signs 30 year agreement to supply Embraer with KC-390 manifolds
Pall Corporation (PLL) has signed a 30-year agreement with Brazilian aerospace innovator Embraer (ERJ) to supply hydraulic filter manifolds and assemblies for KC-390 aircraft. The Embraer KC-390 is a medium-size military jet under development that relies on a sophisticated “fly-by-wire” (electronic) flight control system. The Pall filter manifolds will purify the pressurized hydraulic fluids that power the KC-390’s flight control systems, cargo door, and landing gears against contamination, thereby enhancing aircraft reliability. The first shipments are expected by the end of 2013.

07:07 EDTPLLPall Corp. cuts FY15 adjusted EPS view to $3.65-$3.85 from $3.75-$3.95
Consensus is $3.86. The company said, “At prevailing rates, we’ll see a $200M full-year headwind to revenue – or around 7%. The impact to EPS will be even greater – increasing to around 40 cents, principally from foreign currency translation. Accordingly, we’re reducing our full-year pro forma EPS guidance to $3.65–$3.85, which represents a 6–12% increase over fiscal 2014. While the forecasted impact of the strong U.S. dollar represents a very large headwind to our reported results, the underlying operating performance of the company reinforces our confidence that we can continue to perform and deliver year-over-year earnings growth for the full year.”

06:51 EDTERJAerospace sector downgraded to Neutral from Attractive at Goldman
Goldman downgraded the Aerospace sector to Neutral based on group outperformance and increased downside risks. The firm believes Boeing (BA) and Airbus are now oversupplying the market after a decade of undersupply and replacement demand required to sustain production may prove difficult to achieve. Goldman said accelerated new aircraft replacements was partially due to fuel economics and lower fuel prices and global growth volatility could substantially change Aerospace dynamics. As part of the sector view change, Goldman downgraded Boeing to Sell from Neutral and Precision Castparts (PCP) to Natural from Buy.
