Progressive said earlier this morning that, "In November, we incurred catastrophe losses of about $34M, or 2.7 loss ratio points, primarily in New York and New Jersey related to Superstorm Sandy, reflecting higher severity than originally estimated. The total cost for this late-season storm is nearly $90M, bringing our total year-to-date catastrophe losses to $264M, or 1.8 points, compared to $204M, or 1.5 points, last year." Reference Link | |
