Panasonic (PC) and Itochu will merge their mobile phone sales units as early as October, the Nikkei reports. The merger between Panasonic Telecom and ITC Networks will see ITC emerge as the surviving business and Itochu will potentially hold a slightly lower than 50% stake in the entity; Panasonic's interest could come to about 20%.
