Large auto makers in the U.S., Europe and Asia are favoring Samsung's (SSNLF) SDI unit, Panasonic (PCRFY) and LG to supply advanced batteries for their electric cars following several years of failed technology bets among suppliers, The Wall Street Journal reports.
