After Paccar announced that its truck production for Q3 would drop more than expected, BMO Capital believes that order rates could stay below 2011 levels for the remainder of 2012. The firm lowered its EPS estimates but remains above consensus levels as it doesn't believe the company is facing longer term weakness. The firm maintains an Outperform rating.

Wells Fargo says Ward's U.S. retail sales data for May shows that NAV continues to struggle with market share amid the engine technology transition. Class 8 truck market share for May dropped to 12.5% from 15.0% in April, with PACCAR (PCAR) and Volvo (VOLVY) gaining share and Daimler (DDAIF) losing share, Wells noted, citing Ward's data.
