News Breaks | | | | December 5, 2012 | | 17:07 EDT |  | OMAB | Grupo Aeroportuario reports November passenger traffic up 8.3% Mexican airport operator Grupo Aeroportuario reports that terminal passenger traffic at its 13 airports increased 8.3% in November 2012, as compared to November 2011. Domestic traffic increased 9.2%, and international traffic increased 2.5%. Traffic volumes have increased for fifteen months in a row, starting in September 2011, as a result of the recovery of the air transport industry in Mexico and OMA's actions in coordination with the government and private sector to promote greater air connectivity in the markets where our airports are located. Of total November traffic, 96.6% was commercial aviation and 3.4% was general aviation. | |

Domestic traffic increased 7.7%, and international traffic decreased 3.6%. Year over year comparisons are affected by the fact that the Holy Week vacation period took place in April 2012, while in 2013 it occurred in March. The number of flight operations in April decreased 0.7% as compared to the same month of last year. The number of domestic operations increased 0.3% and international operations decreased 7%. | |
