O2Micro announced that it was issued 19 claims under United States patent number 8,310,206 and 20 claims under United States patent number 8,294,424 for its Battery Voltage Monitoring methodology. Patent number 8,294,424 is a continuation of the invention issued October 2012 under United States patent number 7,825,627. This patented methodology monitors battery cell voltage. If a predefined low voltage threshold is reached, a safety function is initiated. | |
