07:39 EDTFTKFlotek: Rapid deceleration in commodity had a marked impact in Q1 results
Flotek cited the rapid deceleration in commodity prices and the resulting evisceration in oilfield activity has having a marked impact in Q1 results. Expects 1H15 to be "sloppy." The company added, "The decline in revenue approximated the decline in overall oilfield activity which was much more pronounced than nearly anyone would have expected. That said, we have been through industry cycles before and are well positioned to weather the tumult of the trough and emerge as a leader in oilfield technology, with a solid balance sheet and financial position to take advantage of opportunities as the industry emerges from the depths of the current cycle... "On the chemistry front, we continue to see new validation opportunities and are working with over 40 companies in various stages of validation projects in North America. While activity and pricing has moderated for all products, we have been pleased by the continued strength in chemistry inquiries and validation projects."

08:53 EDTAXASAbraxas Petroleum sees FY15 7,200-7,300 Boepd
Sees FY15 operating costs LOE $10.00-$12.00/BOE. Sees FY15 CapEx $53.8M. The company expects production guidance sees potential upside from non-operated participating and higher working interest in operated wells. It also sees potential downside from any additional flaring and associated NDIC curtailments, completion delays and offsetting well shut-ins, higher than anticipated work-over activity.

15:38 EDTGRHGreenHunter Resources reports FY14 continuing ops EPS (35c), two estimates (25c)
Reports Q4 revenue $27.12M, three estimates $29.75M. "We're nearing completion of four new SWD wells at our Millis Hunter Facility. We are proceeding ahead with our plans to barge oil-field waste-water along the Ohio waterway and plan to begin development of our first barge receiving terminal this quarter. We are hopeful that this terminal will be complete and in service before year-end with additional water based terminals to follow. Requests for new proposals on our proprietary MAGTank storage division have been steadily increasing. Demand for water disposal services at GreenHunter Resources remains strong. We continue to operate near full capacity as E&P companies understand that water disposal services and fluids management decisions, regardless of commodity prices, are critical to ensure that a producing well is never shut-in," said the company.

07:04 EDTFTKFlotek and Solazyme announce strategic agreements to develop technologies
Flotek Industries (FTK) and Solazyme (SZYM) announced the companies and certain subsidiaries have entered into agreements to globally commercialize Flocapso. In addition, Flotek will market Solazyme's Encapso lubricant - the first commercially available, biodegradable encapsulated lubricant for drilling fluids in certain Middle Eastern markets. Under the Joint Product Development and Marketing Agreement, Flotek and Solazyme will commercialize and market Flocapso, a proprietary formulation combining Flotek's patented Complex nano-Fluid chemistries with Solazyme's proprietary Encapso technology to create an environmentally-conscious, highly effective drilling fluid additive focused on better lubricity and greater stabilization for drilling programs worldwide. Laboratory and commercial testing indicate that the Flocapso additive will allow the use of water-based fluids in wells that previously required more expensive and invasive oil-based products, providing an environmentally superior, more efficient solution to drilling challenges around the globe. Under the Joint Agreement, Flotek and Solazyme will continue the development of the Flocapso chemistries and work cooperatively to market Flocapso worldwide. The companies are currently in an active validation project with a large national oil company in the Middle East and are pursuing commercial applications in both domestic and international markets.
