A press release announcing the merger between Office Depot (ODP) and Office Max (OMX) appeared on Office Depot's Web site briefly, but has since disappeared, DealBook says. Sources say the deal negotiations are ongoing, and that terms -- which included Office Depot's issuing $2.69 new shares of common stock for each share of OfficeMax -- were not final.
