Sprint (S) announced it has launched its next-generation Command Center 2.0, which provides a centralized management platform across multiple technologies and simplifies the job of device management, in more than 200 countries. Sprint said its parent company, Softbank (SFTBF), not only supports the Command Center 2.0’s global extension but is also working with Sprint to use certain components of Command Center 2.0 for their customers.

CNOOC announced that the Kenli 10-1 oilfield has commenced production. The Kenli 10-1 oilfield is located in the South of Bohai with an average water depth of approximately 17 meters. The main production facilities of this oilfield include one central processing platform, two wellhead platforms and 70 producing wells. There are currently 12 wells producing approximately 10,750 barrels of crude oil per day. The oilfield is expected to reach its ODP designed peak production of approximately 36 thousand barrels per day in 2016. The Kenli 10-1 is an independent oilfield in which the company holds 100% interest and acts as the operator.

Google (GOOG) is looking to sell mobile phone plans directly to customers while managing their calls and mobile data over a cellular network, reports The Information. According to people with knowledge of the plans, the new service is expected to run on Sprint (S) and T-Mobile (TMUS) networks. Google expected to reach deals to buy wholesale across to those carriers' networks. A launch this year seems likely. Reference Link

DISH (DISH) announced that it began making Netflix (NFLX) available on Hopper’s accompanying Joey units for second, third and fourth-room viewing. With this update, DISH becomes the first major U.S. pay-TV provider to offer its customers a whole-home Netflix experience, the company said. The Joey launch follows the launch of the Netflix app on its second-generation Hopper DVR in December, DISH noted. DISH also said it became the first pay-TV provider to offer Vevo, which gives customers access to more than 140,000 music videos from their TV. The new Vevo app begins rolling out to DISH’s second-generation Hopper today.
