Nissan (NSANY) and Honda (HMC) are both said to be planning production of subcompact vehicles in Mexico to be sold in the U.S., according to a Nikkei report. Nissan will begin production of a new version of their Versa hatchback in Mexico as early as 2H13, and Honda is said to be moving production of their Fit subcompact from Japan to Mexico in 2014, according to the report.
