Tyson Foods (TSN) and The Hillshire Brands Company (HSH) announced that Tyson has extended the offering period of its previously announced tender offer to purchase all of the outstanding shares of common stock of Hillshire Brands for $63.00 per share in cash, without interest, subject to any withholding of taxes required by applicable law and upon the terms and subject to the conditions set forth in the Offer to Purchase dated July 16. Pursuant to the Agreement and Plan of Merger, dated July 1, by and among Tyson, HMB Holdings and Hillshire Brands, the Offer, which was previously scheduled to expire at 12:00 midnight, New York City time, at the end of Tuesday, August 26, has been extended until 12:00 midnight, New York City time, on Wednesday, August 27, unless it is extended further under the circumstances set forth in the Merger Agreement. All terms and conditions of the Offer shall remain unchanged during the extended period.

Ebix announced that it has purchased property in Johns Creek Technology Park which will serve as the company's new headquarters and corporate campus. Ebix purchased 11.6 acres of land and 100,000 sq. ft. of office space for $12.5M. As announced earlier, the company paid for the purchase using its own cash reserves in June. The company hopes to achieve cost and operational efficiencies while moving a few of its 25 offices into this one location while integrating multiple Atlanta offices into this prospective world-class campus. The company intends to do so, while creating a world-class work environment and facility that can serve as a showcase for presenting all its products and services under one roof. Johns Creek Technology Park, located in Fulton Co. and central to the city's business environment, is a master-planned, mixed use 1,900-acre community and home to leading technology-focused businesses and several Fortune 500 companies.

Health Content Division has executed a contract with the Australian Nursing and Midwifery Federation, or ANMF, to offer a range of health related continuing professional development, or CPD, courses to its members on an annual subscription basis. As a part of the partnership, the co-branded Ebix-ANMF Body System Training Room, or BSTR, has been launched as an educational web portal, to provide low cost subscription access to a range of continuing professional development, or CPD, courses covering anatomy and physiology, disease and disease management, and medical procedures. The eLearning courses are provided by A.D.A.M. OnDemand and offered to the ANMF's members, non-members and corporate clients who register for an annual subscription of CPD.
