14:50 EDTTreasury Closing Summary:
Treasury Closing Summary: Yields gapped lower on payrolls Friday after the report came in shy of elevated expectations, along with lower back revisions and flat wages. That no doubt put the Fed back on the fence over a September hike in combination with all the latest volatility out of China and Europe. Jobless claims rose and factory orders sank, adding to the bullish mix for bonds. European stocks splashed lower into their close after harsh word from the IMF and ECB on Greece and likely haircuts, pulling Wall Street back under water after earlier gains on the flatter Fed outlook. The dollar initially weakened before finding its groove again ahead of the long weekend.

14:25 EDTTreasury Action: upcoming auctions could be difficult
Treasury Action: upcoming auctions could be difficult with the drop in yields today, and with uncertainty over the FOMC, Greece, and China. When issued yields are down sharply after the jobs report, paced by the fronrt end on Fed expectations. The 3-year rate is down 7 bps to 1.030%, while the 10-year is off 4.5 bps at 2.385%, and the 30-year down 3 bps at 3.180%. These would still be some of the cheapest rates in a while but might not be sufficient to compensate for risks. The 3-year note is also looking very pricey on the curve with the 3s-10s spread having widened to 138 bps from 134 bps at the start of the week, and from 125 bps two weeks ago.
