Asian stocks experienced profit taking, which triggered modest size losses across some regional indices. Ahead of the U.S. Thanksgiving holiday appetite was low following the slightly negative U.S. close. Nevertheless, the MSCI AXJ was 0.2% higher, but the Nikkei fell 0.4% following a run of very impressive gains. The downturn in Japan coincided with sideways action in USD-JPY under 102.00 and a split BoJ policy board on inflation targets, according to the BoJ minutes. The ASX 200 fell 0.4%. RBA's Deputy Governor Lowe said FX intervention was possible, but said the threshold for action was "fairly high" and it did not impact markets. Meanwhile, the Hang Seng was 0.2% higher, while the SSEC was flat.
