Futures off their lows after McDonalds lifts Dow Stock futures have moved off their lows but are still pointing to a lower open ahead of the start of the week’s trading. The Dow, in particular, has recovered from its earlier levels after component McDonald's (MCD) reported stronger than expected November same store sales. On the macro front, there has been little progress on the fiscal cliff negotiations and the clock continue to tick. Investors have been on the sidelines waiting for some clarity on the issue and as a result the daily trading volume has been light. There has been little reason for investors to get involved as the market could break in either direction depending on how the story plays out. Today may be a quiet one, but the FOMC beginning its final meeting of the year tomorrow may bring some market moving news.
