Northrop Grumman announced it has been awarded a contract by the U.S. Naval Air Systems Command to provide Gen II mission computers for the H-1 Upgrade helicopter program. Under the $9.3M firm-fixed-price order, Northrop Grumman will supply Gen II mission computers and trays for the H-1 Upgrade program's Lot 10 production aircraft. Deliveries are expected to be completed by January 2015.

Northrop Grumman reports that the U.S. Navy has approved the use of the company's voyage management system 9.3 onboard SSN and SSGN nuclear powered submarines. The VMS software will be installed on 55 SSNs and four SSGNs. Installations have already begun and will be completed by the end of 2016.

Northrop Grumman has been awarded a GBP 28.8M contract by the United Kingdom Home Office to provide service and systems operations and maintenance to the Forensic and Biometric Interim Capability, otherwise known as FABrIC. Under the two-year FABrIC contract, a recompete of IDENT1, Northrop Grumman will maintain and enhance the IDENT1 core software. IDENT1 provides identity management and crime scene forensic systems, which use fingerprints to provide the principal means of forensically verifying or resolving identities in the United Kingdom for law enforcement. It is a bespoke service that is a critical part of the national infrastructure for policing.
