Embraer S.A. and Azul Linhas Aereas have reached a final agreement for 30 firm orders for the E195-E2 jets. The contract also includes an additional 20 purchase rights for the same model, bringing the total potential order up to 50 E195-E2 jets. The contract for the E-Jets E2 has an estimated value of $3.2B, at Embraer's current list prices, if all purchase rights are converted to firm orders. The firm orders will be included in Embraer's Q2 backlog. The first delivery is scheduled for 2Q20.

Embraer Executive Jets announced that Middle East Airlines has placed an order for one midsize Legacy 500 and an option for a second aircraft of the same model. The delivery of this aircraft is scheduled for Q4 and this order is already included in Embraer's firm order backlog for Q1, the company noted.

Northrop Grumman reports that the U.S. Navy has approved the use of the company's voyage management system 9.3 onboard SSN and SSGN nuclear powered submarines. The VMS software will be installed on 55 SSNs and four SSGNs. Installations have already begun and will be completed by the end of 2016.

Northrop Grumman has been awarded a GBP 28.8M contract by the United Kingdom Home Office to provide service and systems operations and maintenance to the Forensic and Biometric Interim Capability, otherwise known as FABrIC. Under the two-year FABrIC contract, a recompete of IDENT1, Northrop Grumman will maintain and enhance the IDENT1 core software. IDENT1 provides identity management and crime scene forensic systems, which use fingerprints to provide the principal means of forensically verifying or resolving identities in the United Kingdom for law enforcement. It is a bespoke service that is a critical part of the national infrastructure for policing.
