The Air Force Space Command's Space and Missile Systems Center has awarded Northrop Grumman Corporation's (NOC) Information Systems sector the Enhanced Polar System Control and Planning Segment contract. The base contract is for 18 months. The primary work will be done in Redondo Beach, Calif., with additional CAPS work performed in Orlando Fla., and Needham and Marlborough, Mass. The Northrop Grumman team includes General Dynamics (GD) C4 Systems, Inc.; Raytheon (RTN); Boecore, Inc.; Pollere, Inc.; Monterey Technologies, Inc.; Meadowgate Technologies, LLC; Perales Consulting Group, LLC; and Affigent, LLC.

An international customer signed an agreement with the U.S. Government for a foreign military sale of tube-launched, optically tracked, wireless-guided missiles to be supplied by Raytheon in a deal valued at approximately $750M. Raytheon plans to deliver nearly 14K TOW missiles to the customer over a three-year period beginning in 2015. A resulting order is expected to be executed by the U.S. government with Raytheon in the coming weeks.

The U.S. Navy has awarded General Dynamics American Overseas Marine, or AMSEA, a $32.7M contract modification to operate and maintain seven large, medium-speed, roll-on / roll-off ships, or LMSR, for the Military Sealift Command. AMSEA is a wholly owned subsidiary of General Dynamics. Under the terms of the modification, AMSEA will provide services including crewing, engineering, maintenance, procurement and provisioning. Initially awarded in 2010, the contract has a potential value of $238M over seven years.

General Dynamics (GD) said it would not ask the congressional Government Accountability Office to rule on a U.S. Army vehicle competition that it says is skewed to favor its rival, Britain's BAE Systems (BAESY), according to Reuters, citing a statement from a General Dynamics spokesman. The spokesman said, "We will continue to discuss the AMPV program with the U.S. Department of Defense and the Congress. We do not believe a GAO protest is the right forum for this issue and we will not file one." Reference Link
