Analysts are looking for EPS of $1.12 on revenue of $6.41B. The consensus range is $1.00-$1.19 for EPS and $6.18B-$6.63B for revenue, according to First Call. In June, Nike guided FY13 revenue growth in the mid-to-high single digits on a reported basis and forecast Q1 revenue growth in the high single digits. During the quarter, Nike announced a new four-year, $8B program to repurchase shares of the company's Class B common stock. After conducting extensive checks, Stifel Nicolaus believes that demand for Nike products in the U.S. increased during the back to school shopping season, compared with the same period in 2011. OTR Global said Nike footwear and apparel order have surged in the U.S., above buyers' expectations. Citigroup analyst Kate McShane believes that the growth of the company's futures orders could slow to below 10%. Nike’s revenue growth, which has caused the stock to advance in the past, is also likely to slow, according to the analyst. Challenging economic environments in China and Europe, along with a lack of one-time sporting events, will slow Nike's revenue growth. | |
