Regulators in the U.S. are supporting a plan to shift more trading away from private trading venues and onto the exchanges, Wall Street Journal reports, citing people familiar with the discussions. The plan has been pushed by OMX Group (NDAQ) and NYSE Euronext (NYX) and could hurt bank trading operations, the Journal adds. Reference Link

The Federal Reserve Board on Thursday announced that results from the latest supervisory stress tests conducted as part of the Dodd-Frank Act will be released on Thursday, March 5, and the related results from the Comprehensive Capital Analysis and Review, CCAR, will be released on Wednesday, March 11. Results for both exercises will be released at 4:30 p.m. Publicly traded companies in the space include Bank of America (BAC), Citi (C), Goldman Sachs (GS), JPMorgan (JPM), Morgan Stanley (MS), U.S. Bancorp (USB) and Wells Fargo (WFC).
