07:36 EDTNBLNoble Energy announces letter of intent for Leviathan export
Noble Energy announced the execution of a non-binding Letter of Intent between the Leviathan field partners and BG International Limited for the supply of natural gas from the Leviathan field, offshore Israel, to BG's existing natural gas liquefaction facilities in Egypt. The LOI contemplates a total gross sales quantity of up to 3.75T cubic feet of natural gas over a 15-year period, or the equivalent of approximately 700M cubic feet per day over the term. Delivery of the natural gas to BG is expected at the outlet of the Leviathan floating, production, storage, and offloading vessel, with planned connection to the LNG facilities by way of subsea pipeline. A final gas purchase and sales agreement is to be negotiated and will be subject to the receipt of regulatory approvals in Israel and Egypt.

07:42 EDTNBLNoble Energy believes it can develop Leviathan by 2019, Globes reports
Noble Energy Israel County Manager Bini Zomer said that his company thinks it can develop the Leviathan natural gas reservoir if a sufficient number of contracts are signed, despite the plunge in oil prices that have led to investment cuts, Globes reports. "There is no doubt that the global oil and gas industry is facing many challenges. Despite those challenges, Noble believes that the Leviathan project can move forward based on domestic and export opportunities and because of the positive climate created by the Natural Gas Framework," Zomer said.
