Microsoft (MSFT) is said to be planning to release a new version of its Xbox gaming console in time for next year's holiday season, according to a Bloomberg report that cites people familiar with the company's plans. This would be the first overhaul to Microsoft's Xbox franchise since the release of Xbox 360 in 2005. Reference Link

A widespread criminal network of hijacked computers responsible for over $500M in bank fraud was taken offline by Microsoft, the FBI and financial service groups, reports the Financial Times.
