Government says Apple executive sought to fix e-book prices, NY Times says During a trial over alleged e-book price fixing by Apple (AAPL) yesterday, the government charged that a senior Apple executive assured publishers that they would work together to destroy Amazon's (AMZN) e-book pricing model, according to The New York Times. Apple's lawyer also met with multiple publishers, and the evidence proves that Apple sought to fix e-book prices heading into the launch of the iPad, the government alleged, the newspaper reported.
