Microsemi shares should be bought, says Stifel Nicolaus After Microsemi reported weaker than expected Q1 results and provided lower than expected Q2 EPS guidance, Stifel believes that Q2 is likely the trough for the company. The firm expects the company to resume growing in the June quarter and it maintains a Buy rating on the stock.
Microsemi's FPGAs receive DPA resistance certification Microsemi's SmartFusion2 system-on-chip field programmable gate arrays, or FPGAs, and IGLOO2 FPGAs have successfully passed certification for resistance to differential power analysis in the DPA Countermeasure Validation Program developed by Rambus Cryptography Research Division. This allows Microsemi to use the Cryptography Research trademarked DPA Lock security logo under license from the organization in connection with these products. The designation makes these the only FPGAs in the industry with licensed and certified DPA countermeasures.
