18:28 EDTMRK, GILDMerck, Gilead both remain strong long-term investments, Barron's reports
Merck (MRK) has promising cancer drugs currently in development that could bolster its recovering profit growth, and it trades in-line with the broader pharmaceutical industry. Gilead (GILD), on the other hand, has a fast-growing bottom line and a very low price-to-earnings ratio at less than 11 times 2015 earnings estimates. Both of these stocks make great long-term investments, Barron's reports. Reference Link
