| theflyonthewall.com: | Mosaic forecasts strong recovery in P&K demand | | In its quarterly newsletter, Market Mosaic, Mosaic said that despite "extraordinary declines" last year, they are projecting a strong recovery in phosphate (P) and potash (K) demand during the 2009/2010 fertilizer year. The company expects farmers to return to more standard agronomic practices this year and that a few early reports from the western Corn Belt suggest P&K application rates are "returning to normal levels" this fall. Mosaic said world demand for P&K products is forecast to rebound sharply in 2010 and that recent developments suggest potash demand is already on the brink of recovery. :theflyonthewall.com |

| theflyonthewall.com: | Department of Agriculture sees corn stocks lower, narrow average price range | | The Department of Agriculture lowered its projection for U.S. feed grain ending stocks for 2011/12, citing corn and oats imports being more than offset by higher expected corn exports. Corn ending stocks projections were dropped 45M bushels, to 801M. Season average farm corn price forecast was narrowed 10c on both ends of the range, to $5.80-$6.60 per bushel. Global coarse grain supplies for 2011/12 are projected 3.1M tons lower, on reduced corn production from Argentina and Paraguay. Reference Link :theflyonthewall.com |
