MagneGas announced that it has filed provisional patents on the production methods and composition of MagneGas 2. This latest provisional patent is part of MagneGas effort to strengthen and broaden its intellectual property. In this case the application relates to new production methods and designs required to produce gas from high carbon liquid wastes as well as the composition of MagneGas 2.

MagneGas announced that a major producer of painting systems, viewed a MagneGas2 demo and has requested an immediate supply of the fuel for metal cutting. The demo was viewed by company officials on May 19, who indicated they were impressed with the speed and quality of the cut and immediately requested a supply of the fuel. The company has locations in the U.S. and Mexico and produces large paint booths and other ancillary systems for the automotive and aerospace manufacturing industries. The gas will initially be supplied to their location in Michigan.

MagneGas announced that following a specific request from the US Navy, it has successfully completed a demonstration using its MagneGas2 cutting fuel at a designated US Navy facility. Following an initial demonstration, the US Navy contacted MagneGas and purchased their first order of MagneGas. Subsequently MagneGas was invited to perform a two-day "hands-on" demonstration and testing session that concluded on May 12th.
